Erin and gabriel Aug 2025– “We just got married at Kilronan Castle in early August and multiple guests have told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. 1000/10 – no notes. We had a phenomenal magical time. I understand people cruising this site will probably be trying to make a choice so here’s some top highlights.
From the drive up to Kilronan you are stunned. Inside the castle is impressive and classy, ballroom is newly renovated and gorgeous. There is also a long hallway to the ballroom which is absolutely unreal.
Outside is even more gorgeous. Lots of flowers just naturally everywhere. I know outdoor weddings in Ireland can be difficult, we got extremely lucky. The ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors garden setting by the lake is elite. Food was absolutely delicious. Our wedding planner Marianne was outstanding. Everyone that worked at Kilronan was extremely welcoming, efficient and got things done.
You absolutely cannot go wrong if you choose Kilronan as your wedding venue.

Q: How many can Kilronan Castle cater for?
A: We can Cater from Weddings as intimate as 2 right up to 360 guests in our Grand Ballroom.
Q: How many bedrooms are allocated to a wedding?
A: We have 85 Bedrooms in Kilronan Castle and we would allocated a maximum of 40 to each wedding for the night of your wedding, if you are hosting a pre or post party here we can also accommodate that offering a maximum of 20 rooms.
Q: Do you have a designated Bridal Suite?
A: We have 4 Authentic Castle Suites which we use for our brides, here we want your stay to be undisturbed therefore if you are staying with us for more than one night you get allocated the same Suite for the duration without the hassle of moving rooms
Q: Can you cater for Pre & Post Wedding Parties?
A: We can in our beautiful Dungeon bar which has a fabulous terrace and outdoor seating overlooking the lake, ideal for summer BBq’s and also for winter buffets served in front of the open fires. We also have private dining options also for something a little more formal if desired. Menus are displayed in the wedding brochure
Q: Are you licenced for Civil Ceremonies?
A: We are, we have 2 options for civil partnerships, The Grand Ballroom and on the Lake Terrace (Room Hire / Set up fees apply)
Q: Is there a local Church that we can use?
A: Ballyfarnon & Keadue would be the nearest villages for a Catholic Church Ceremony, the nearest Protestant Church would be Carrick on Shannon
Q: What style of top tables do you do?
A: We have the Traditional Straight Line top table that can either be raised (seating maximum 16) on the stage or positioned on the floor (maximum 20) We also have an oval table which is also popular which seats 20
Q: Where would the Drinks Reception be?
A: We have a private area for your drinks reception on the lower ground of the Castle, The Dungeon Bar is ideal with plush seating and décor for plenty and our Lake Terrace with outdoor seating it is a perfect location
Q: Do you have Microphone for Speeches?
A: We have A full PA system, Microphone and Projector & Screen for any power point presentation’s
Q: Do you cater for Dietary Requirements?
A: We cater for all dietary requirements, this is discussed at your meeting with the Coordinator 3 months prior to the wedding
Q: Do you do menu tastings?
A: We do offer our couples menu tastings, generally 3 months before the wedding we organise this, a wine tasting is also completed at this stage. We offer an excellent, reduced B&B Rate for our couples to stay over too (subject to availability)
