- Enjoy more ‘me time’. When it comes to looking after ourselves, why is it that everything else becomes a priority? Be it long hours at the office, kids needing to be chauffeured or being there for a friend in need. More often than not, we forget to have some well-deserved “Me-Time”. To capture just 10 minutes of calm in your day can seem like a far-away dream but luckily the New Elemis Life Elixir range is designed to slot into every type of life style. - Drink more water. The golden rule – Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! If you find water to be boring and bland like I do, chop in some cucumber, mint, lemon or lime whatever your taste buds desire to add some flavour. Try this with sparkling water too. Keep a bottle with you at your desk or on the go to prevent the temptation of a coffee. It also helps keep the appetite at bay so when that 3pm slump hits you are less likely to reach for a sugary treat which your waist line will be thankful for too!
- Exercise – Find an exercise that you enjoy & you love! Not everybody wants to cycle or go for a run. Why not look into something fun like a dance class or Pilates. I personally love to swim and with The Leisure Centre at Kilronan Castle with Sauna Steam & Jacuzzi it provides peace & quiet to help escape for an hour as well as getting my exercise in.
- Take a Walk. Spending time outdoors can be just what the doctor ordered. Taking a walk in the woods or park and get some fresh air. A personal favourite of mine is the miners walk on the grounds of Kilronan Castle, with three different colour coded loops to follow set in woodland, with gravel paths & boardwalks, suitable for all levels of fitness.
